There are Scriptures which are HATED by Some People Because They Have Been MIS-used and Poorly Understood.

According to the passage, unrighteousness, "the unrighteous" will not inherit the kingdom of God. Still, one cannot WORK one's way to salvation by not doing those listed things. Why not? What makes one person worthy of God's kingdom while another is unworthy?

None of us is worthy. The same Bible which condemns adultery, fornication, and similar vices, says all of humankind's righteousness is as filthy as the most filthy thing imaginable (Isaiah 64:6).

The reality is that we are all clobbered in light of Scripture. We must understand that acceptance BY God begins with submission TO God.
Salvation is by faith; not faith that we can do whatever may feel good, but faith that as we surrender our lives to God entirely, he cleans, corrects, and directs us. A relationship develops where we know that he will shape us the way he desires as we honestly yield our whole will to his will constantly.

To not accept the truth about humankind's sin nature and total inability to EARN salvation is to really be CLOBBERED.
