Hosea 5:1
Hear ye this,
O priests;
and hearken,
ye house of Israel;
and give ye ear,
O house of the king;
for judgment is toward you,
because ye have been a snare
on Mizpah,
and a net spread upon Tabor.

Listen up, citizens

Pay attention,
government officials
("house of the king")!
You're all facing judgment
because you have been
A SNARE
and a trap
to others.
You're a trap, a net, and a snare.
You have exploited and abused your roles.
You have been examples of
idolatry, injustice, and greed.
You have victimized others.
You have put people in spiritual
and financial bondage.
While you are in positions of power and authority to protect and guide people, you are, instead, leading them into blatant wickedness.
