From time to time, many professing Christians (or "spiritual" persons) have questioned what is acceptable attire for churches or other places.
IF
churches were really sacred, holy, godly places…
IF
people read, understood, believed, and sought to live as Scripture teaches and the Holy Spirit guides…
IF
church attendance had not been reduced to greed, lust, popularity, fashion, entertainment, and mandated ritual…
THEN
what is or is not acceptable, in church or any where, for people who CLAIM to be righteous would not be a question.
When we truly love others more than our self-interests or desires, when we are intimate with Scripture, and when the Holy Spirit is in operation within our hearts, then we know the answers to, "Is it okay to wear...?"
Paraphrase of
Romans 14:21
It's not good to eat meat, or to drink wine, or to consume or do ANYTHING in the presence of your Christian siblings that would cause them to falter. Don't do it, don't eat it, don't wear it, don't say it--anything that could possibly cause spiritual offense or spiritual weakness to another Believer.
